男,1958年生,中国科学院生态环境研究中心研究员,环境战略专业委员会专家,从事于土地评价和景观生态学等方面的研究工作,兼任国际生态学会副主席,国际长期生态系统研究网络副主席,联合国生物多样性与生态系统服务科学-政策平台专家组成员和第三世界科学院院士。

社会服务

       长期从事景观生态学和综合自然地理学研究,在土地利用结构与生态过程、景观生态和生态系统服务等领域取得了系统性、创新性的学术成就,推动了我国景观生态学的发展,是我国景观生态学领域的学术带头人,具有重要的国际影响。

      提出将尺度-格局-过程有机结合的学术思想,系统开展了土地利用格局与生态过程相互作用机理研究,揭示了黄土丘陵沟壑区土地利用格局对土壤水分、土壤养分和土壤侵蚀的影响机理,建立了黄土丘陵坡地土壤水分空间分布模型。开拓了地理学综合研究的新途径—格局与过程耦合,深化了自然地理过程研究。

       提出了连接生态系统过程与生态系统服务的研究思路,发展了生态系统服务权衡方法和区域评估模型;提出了景观多样性的概念和类型,构建了农业景观变化的评价模型,推动了我国景观生态学的发展。
